Itinerary

Board the beautiful vintage train at London Victoria Station and settle into your plush armchair, admiring the beautiful Art Deco detail and intricate marquetry of your carriage. As the journey begins, your steward serves you a sparkling Bellini, followed by a delicious three-course brunch. No matter which seaside destination you choose, you’ll arrive with plenty of time to explore before rejoining the train for a Champagne reception, followed by a sumptuous dinner as you head back towards London at the end of your unforgettable day.

Whitstable is not only an historic port, famous for its shipbuilding and oysters but it was also a stop on one of the first ever passenger railways, opened in 1830. There are plenty of independent shops and galleries to browse in the pretty town centre. Or, why not roll up your trousers and walk down the pretty shingle beach for a paddle in the surf?

A former retreat for Charles Dickens, Broadstairs is a such a traditional seaside town that it may feel like you’ve stepped back in time! How better to arrive then, that aboard the vintage British Pullman? Enjoy a stroll along the clifftop Victoria Gardens to Bleak House, where Dickens wrote David Copperfield or dip into the art galleries around Viking Bay.
