Island Hopping – European Islands to Include on a Rail Holiday
It might not be the first thing you think of when putting together a Tailor Made Rail holiday, but there are some beautiful islands that you can visit as part of a package with us, all with their own history and cultural influences.

Sicily

Are there trains there? Yes, there are three rail lines, all bookable locally. There’s also a scenic rail line from Palma to Soller (pictured) with vintage carriages.

Are there any trains there?
Visit for: A laid back atmosphere, stunning coastal scenery and buzzing capital St Helier

Are there any trains there? Yes, but they are regional services which you can’t book from abroad
Visit for: Napoleonic history, varied and beautiful landscapes, a heady mix of French and Italian cultures
