After breakfast this morning, it’s time to check out of your hotel and return to the station for your onward journey across the Swiss border to Basel. Transfer here onto regional trains down via Landquart and the Engadin Valley to St Moritz. On arrival, make your way to the Grace la Margna Hotel (or similar) where you have a 2-night stay.
Spend your first evening here settling in, perhaps enjoying some of the facilities that the hotel has to offer or taking a wander around Lake St Moritz and the centre of town.
Today, you’ll enjoy a fantastic day trip on the exclusive pullman carriages of the Bernina Express. Leave St Moritz and head through stunning scenery on the way to St Moritz. Zurich is a very pretty city, straddling the River Limmat where it meets Lake Zurich. You can enjoy dinner in the lovely Lindenhof district or choose from one of the appealling restaurants in the cobbled Old Town area on the other side of the river.
Spend a free morning at leisure in Zurich. Perhaps take a cruise out on the lake or visit one of the city’s huge variety of museums covering subjects from art and design to football.
