Suggested Itinerary

Make your way to London St Pancras today for your Eurostar journey into the Netherlands. After crossing the channel and passing through Brussels, your Eurostar whizzes up into the Dutch polders at breakneck speed, and with one easy platform-change in Rotterdam or Amsterdam, you’ll be in the small town of Amersfoort, an insight into a more authentic Dutch experience.
Stay overnight at the NH Hotel Amersfoort (or similar).

After breakfast today, head back to the station and travel in comfort aboard an InterCity service through the scenic landscapes of the Netherlands and into Germany.
On arrival in Osnabrück, step aboard a sleek, high-speed ICE train for the direct connection to Kiel, a stylish and relaxing way to reach the historic port city on the Baltic Sea. Check in at the Intercity Kiel (or similar) next to the station for an overnight stay.

You’ll be able to leave your luggage in your hotel today and enjoy a free morning in Kiel. The Color Line cruise ferry arrives into port at 10am, so you should be able to see it across the harbour!
From midday, you’ll be able to check in for your overnight voyage to Norway. Settle into your cabin and then head out to explore this fantastic ship, with its onboard dining, entertainment, leisure and shopping options. Talk to us about pre-booking your meals or the evening show onboard, if you would be interested in this.

You’ll want to be on deck early to watch as your ship cruises through the majestic Oslofjord, with its fishing villages, boats and 100 populated islands. Dock in at Oslo port around 10am and make your way to the Home Hotel Folketeateret (or similar), where you have a 2-night stay.
Oslo is a fascinating capital with a vibrant culture and a wide range of museums. Don’t miss a visit to the ultra-modern Munch Museum in the harbour, dedicated to the famous Norwegian painter of The Scream, or a look around the imposing Akershus Fortress.

After breakfast this morning, check out of your hotel and head to Oslo’s main station for a stunning journey on the Bergen Line, which takes you across the country to the west coast. Arriving into Bergen, make your way to the Thon Hotel Bristol (or similar), where you have a 2-night stay.
Bergen is a lovely city, dating back to the 11th century. The photogenic, UNESCO World Heritage-listed Hanseatic houses around Vågen in the city centre provide a fascinating insight into Bergen’s medieval trading past. You can also take in sweeping views over the whole area from the top of the Fløibanen funicular.

The highlight of your holiday, today starts with a rail journey back to Myrdal on the Bergen Line, followed by a trip on the world-famous Flåm Railway which winds through the mountains down to the little village of Flåm on the western end of the Aurlandsfjord. There’s time for a look around here before you board a boat for a cruise through the fjord to Gudvangen.
In Gudvangen, disembark and take a scenic journey by bus to Voss, where you’ll pick up the train back to Bergen.

Pick up some last souvenirs in Bergen today before your flight back to London. If you’d rather fly into airports in other cities, we can look at this for you (supplements may apply).
