DAY 1 - LONDON TO MUNICH

Depart London St Pancras late morning on Eurostar, travelling with in Eurostar Plus first) class to Paris Gare du Nord. After a short walk to Gare de l’Est, continue in first class on the direct train to Munich, where you will be staying overnight at the Eurostars Book Hotel (or similar).

DAY 2 - MUNICH TO VENICE

After a morning exploring Munich, board the sleek Austrian RailJet departure just before lunch, and marvel at the scenery of the beautiful Brenner Pass as you head across the Alps, passing through the Austrian Tyrol and into Italy. Why not enjoy lunch in the restaurant car (payable locally)? On arrival in Venice, check in for a 3-night stay at the Carnival Palace (or similar) in Cannaregio, an authentic Venetian district within walking distance of Santa Lucia station .

DAYS 3 & 4 - VENICE

Enjoy two full days in Venice, with time to discover this unforgettable city’s many attractions. Visit St Mark’s Square with its imposing basilica and climb up the campanile for panoramic views. Take a tour around galleries like the Accademia or Peggy Guggenheim Museum. Or, simply lose yourself in the narrow streets and quiet campos of Venice Island.

You can also travel by boat to other islands in the Venetian Lagoon, such as Murano, famous for its glass-blowing and the beach resort of Lido.

DAY 5 - VENICE TO LYON

Check out of your hotel after breakfast this morning and return to the station. You’ll take a comfortable high-speed train to Milan, changing here for another Frecciarossa train across the Alps to Lyon. Check in at the Mercure Lyon – Gare Part Dieu (or similar) for an overnight stay.

Spend the night in this pretty city on the River Rhône, famous for its unique cuisine, which you can sample at a huge choice of restaurants.

DAY 6 - LYON TO LONDON

Board a modern TGV train this morning up to Lille, bypassing Paris, in good time for an evening Eurostar back to London. Enjoy a free light meal and drinks on the way from Lille to London and head home the same day, anywhere in the UK, with complimentary rail travel back to your local station.
