What is Bernina Express Pullman Class?
The new Bernina Express Pullman Class introduces a beautifully restored 1930s-style carriage to one of Switzerland’s most iconic rail routes.

A Journey with a Sense of Occasion
The carriage itself is an experience. Rich materials, polished finishes and carefully restored details give a clear nod to classic rail travel, while the intimate layout, with a maximum of just 32 passengers, ensures a calm and unhurried atmosphere throughout.
There is a dedicated concierge onboard who is on hand throughout the journey to give an overview of the route as well as answering any questions.
Dining as Part of the Journey
Shortly after departure, guests are welcomed with an aperitif. Champagne and canapés are served as the train begins its journey, setting the tone for what follows. On the return leg, the experience is rounded off with coffee and petits fours
The culinary highlight, however, comes when you reach Tirano.

A Visit to La Gatta Vineyard
Included in every Pullman Class booking is a visit to the La Gatta vineyard.
Here, you’ll be served for a three-course lunch, paired with local wines. Set within the vineyard itself, the setting offers a more immersive connection to the region, complementing the landscapes seen from the train.
The experience also includes a guided tour of the wine cellar, adding context to the wines and the history of the estate.
Return journey to Tirano with an open-air carriage
Guests returning to St Moritz in the afternoon can take advantage of the outdoor seating available in an open-air carriage, offering 360 degree views, fresh mountain air and great photography opportunities.

What’s included in Bernina Express Pullman Class?
You can choose from a single or return journey aboard the train in either direction. Guests joining in Tirano meet the arriving group in the morning for the transfer to the vineyard before their journey back to St Moritz.
The price includes:
- Travel in an exclusive Pullman carriage between St Moritz and Tirano
